<div>On Wednesday evening, we set up camp on our Piazza after months of being ignored by our University. After countless demonstrations, sit ins, open letters and even a motion through our students union, the University hasn’t even engaged with us, let alone met our demands.

<div>The demands are simple:
</div>
<div>1. Divest - for the University to divest from all companies complicit in Israel’s occupation of Palestine and weapons manufacture.
</div>
<div>2. Condemn - Israel’s bombardment of Gaza
</div>
<div>3. Pledge - For the Uni to pledge to support the rebuilding of educational infrastructure in Gaza and also offer scholarships to Palestinian students
</div>
<div>4. Protect Freedom of Speech for activists, students and staff who speak in support of the Palestinian people.
</div>

<div>We are launching this fundraiser to ensure however long we manage to sustain this encampment, we have access to food and equipment needed to remain fed, hydrated and warm. We are in awe of people’s generosity so far but know that as the media attention dies down, likely so will these donations. We have also been asked by people who cannot come down in person what they can do to help and how they can provide resources so we have decided to set up this fundraiser. Whatever money is left over we will donate to Medical Aid for Palestinians. We will also update this page periodically with the stuff we purchased to reassure our supporters.
