Support the Sotos

Good friends are hard to come by in life. I've been lucky that I found the best. Susie and I met in high school, and were pretty much inseparable for the next 20 years. Sue was the life of the party, the responsible one, the mother hen, and a steadfast friend. She was the girl who picked me up at 1 am after my boyfriend, the boy she liked also, dumped me. Sue was the person who invited every single person she knew on every adventure. Her mom would serve Thanksgiving for 30 people just to make sure everyone had somewhere to go. 

Now, Susie needs our help. Susie was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia at the young age of 43. She struggles to speak, and is incontinent. She lives with her dad, who is 80, in LA. Sue's dad has the added expense of keeping her fed, healthy, and in diapers. He had to stop working to be her full time care giver. Susie is on a list for a bed in a state run facility, but the wait time can be up to 2 years. In the meantime, I ask that we give back to the friend that gave us so much. I know most of my memories include Sue. Her memories are fading but she still remembers so many of us, and our good times. Please help me be there for her as she was for us so many times. 

All money raised by this page will go directly to her dad for the items necessary to keep her healthy, clothed, and maybe even have someone stay with her occasionally so her dad can have a reprieve.
