Support The Salts Fight Against ALS

Debby Salts is a 55-year-old wife, mother of two daughters, and grandmother to 3 wonderful grandchildren.
A few years ago, she began falling down for no apparent reason. Her symptoms continued to get worse and she was diagnosed with drop foot.
She was fitted with a prosthetic for her right leg and foot. But her mobility continued to decline.
Recently we found out why this was happening. Debby has ALS. Otherwise known as Lou Gehrig Disease.
This disease affects the motor neurons that control her muscles. The life expectancy of ALS patients usually ranges from about 3 to 5 years after diagnosis.
It is imperative that we get help as early as possible. We have been waiting on disability for over a year.
I am her husband, Tod Salts. I work 50 to 65 hours a week as a vendor. I am also an ordained Baptist Minister who preaches voluntarily, every Sunday at two separate Assisted Living Facilities in Tyler, Texas.
We believe that the best opportunity to extend Debby's life, is to get her into one or more of the newest clinical trials.
Debby is a woman with a godly integrity that is rarely seen in today's culture. And anyone who knows Debby understands that the world is a better place with her in it.
Needless to say, this chapter in our life is going to be very difficult. And many changes will have to take place.
Debby's therapy options, overall care and possible participation in future ALS studies will depend on the financial resources we are able to raise.
