Hello everyone - due to a sudden and unexpected loss for the Puga Family, we are asking for any donations in order to lay Fred to rest, transition his animals, and finalize his medical bills after a lengthy hospitalization during his final fight. Fredrick “Fred” Lee Puga, 51, entered the Lord’s heavenly kingdom peacefully on Sunday, February 16, 2025, at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen, Texas.

Fred was born on March 25, 1973, in Harlingen, Texas to loving parents, Federico Puga & Florentina Leal.

Fred attended Harlingen public schools and graduated from Harlingen High School Class of 1992 and played football for the Cardinals. He worked at Dish Network for 17 years and was a faithful, loyal employee. Fred loved to acquire collectible toys and over the years he had amassed a large amount of figurines. Above all Fred was always happy, positive, a leader, had a strong spirit, and a great sense of humor. He was a loving son, brother, uncle, nephew, and friend who will be dearly missed.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Felix & Francisca Puga; maternal grandparents, Isaias & Josefa Leal, and numerous Puga & Leal uncles & aunts.

Fred leaves behind his loving family to cherish his wonderful memory, parents, Federico & Florentina Puga; sisters, Sabrina Ann Romero (Rudy) & Lisa Marie Puga (David Hernandez); nephews & niece, Christopher Puga(Harley), Erik Camacho & Faith Trejo(Kevin); uncle, Fidencio Puga, other relatives, and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 20, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at Trinity Funeral Chapel of the Holy Spirit.
