Support the Present Company Staff!

Please help our staff!  This is a direct call to action for the community to come together to help us support our staff members during this pandemic.  They are currently going without adequate pay, and will likely continue to deal with that through, at least, the end of April.  They have children, rents, mortgages, car payments, and other obligations, and many don’t have family or other networks to look to for financial support.  For them, this adds to the negative impact of an already stressful situation.

We have enjoyed creating the same family-like atmosphere at Present Company that we have been able to create with The Pub & The People in Bloomingdale, and we especially have loved getting to know our Mount Vernon Triangle neighbors. We look forward to opening our doors to you all as soon as we can.  (We are planning to open to-go options as soon as Washington Gas is finished repairing a malfunction with the main line that runs along Massachusetts Ave. under our patio.  Should be any day now!)

So now, please show your support.  Every dime will be distributed to the staff, both front and back of the house. We know lots of people have had their world turned upside down in the last week, and many are dealing with their own hardships.  To the extent that you can help, we, and our staff, would be immensely grateful.
