On August 22, 2026, the Hawk Fire changed everything for the Poindexter family. They lost their home, and eight members of their immediate and extended family were forced to evacuate. Right now, they are displaced and relying on temporary hotel accommodations while they try to take in what has happened and figure out their next steps. 
 
 
 In a matter of hours, the Poindexters were left with limited clothing, personal belongings, and the everyday essentials that are so easy to take for granted until they are suddenly gone. This fundraiser is for a family that has long been there for others and is now facing the unimaginable task of starting over. 
 
 
 Donations will help cover the most urgent needs, including lodging, food, and replacing essentials. That support will provide some stability and relief while the Poindexter family navigates this incredibly difficult time.
