Support the Mother Tongues Festival!

Mother Tongues Festival is one of Ireland's most diverse and dynamic initiatives.

Our goal is to create a space that fosters belonging and celebrates linguistic and cultural identities through education and the arts and so far we have been able to engage more than 1,000 children and 100 artists in our programmes.

The next 12 months are key for us to deliver our programmes. We need your help to welcome communities to create, enjoy and share culture and creativity. We want to nurture the next generation of artists. We want to continue to come together through creativity. We want to provide some joy to help us through feelings of isolation and loss and to make migrant families feel at home in Ireland.

Your donation would support these projects:

Mother Tongues Festival
The Mother Tongues Festival is the largest festival celebrating linguistic diversity through the arts in Ireland. Our mission is to showcase Ireland’s rich artistic and cultural tapestry through the use of the multiple languages spoken in the country and to enable people to connect while engaging in creative experiences. Interactive Museum of Languages for Young Audiences
The Interactive Museum of Languages for Young Audiences (IMLYA) is a touring interactive exhibition for primary school children. IMLYA extends the range of creative activities by providing an immersive creative experience for children. By offering schools the opportunity to experience the exhibition on their grounds (indoors or outdoors) and availing of educational activities, the exhibition enables teachers to help young people learn and apply creative skills and capacities. Learning English through creative expression
Our programme for children and teens to learn English and socialise through the arts to creative sessions for local families fosters a sense of belonging while developing language skill and socialising in a safe environment.

Transcultural Mediators project and See Through Café
We want to nurture artists who are new to the Irish cultural scene and artists whose voices have not been heard before. Through our See Through Café  and our Cultural Mediators programme  we aim to create a space where artists from all over the world can find a space where they can feel a sense of belonging and where they can showcase their expertise and grow professionally.

Donate today to help us to deliver our programme, transforming the lives of children in Dublin through the power of creativity and unleashing the potential of a new generation of artists.
