Dear Family and Friends,
Hello! We hope you and your loved ones are well and safe. We know these are tough times for so many.
We wish we were reaching out under different circumstances, but we have been going through a very challenging time for the last few years and really need your help getting back on our feet.
We were hesitant to reach out for support because we felt embarrassed about the situation and our difficulty in lifting ourselves out of it.
Without relatives who can support us through this we were encouraged to reach out to our Eden Family.
After pursuing all options we recently lost our family home and livelihood in Massachusetts.
We stayed with friends until we gathered enough funds to rent a UHaul and head to the Austin area at the invitation of an old friend of Bruce's. There was a promise of housing and jobs. When we arrived, the jobs were no longer an option due to coronavirus and the housing needed major renovations to be liveable. Additionally, the relationship turned quite emotionally and verbally abusive and controlling. This left us in a very compromised position that was compounded now with widespread unemployment.
It was unsafe and was urgent that we leave; We called Emma Juniper, who graciously assisted us in immediate departure to safety. We are now in her apartment in Austin. After her gifting us 3 weeks stay, we can rent it for the month of May while we are searching for a place of our own and continuing to apply for work. She is helping us with figuring out the next steps and has facilitated a core team of Eden allies.❤️
We are in need of financial help for May's rent along with first month's rent and security deposit for lodging starting June, cellphone bills, car insurance, gas, and storage unit.
We are applying for gov’t. assistance and exploring all possibilities.

We have lovely memories of our time together at Eden. Sequoia often recollects his special memories from that time. He is now a teenager and almost as tall as his Dad!
