"The long road to recovery for Sky!"

Donation protected
As many of you know just one year ago my sisters two oldest Skyler and Taelor lost their dad to fentanyl overdose. Now just on March 25th Skyler was found by his family outside in full cardiac arrest. His mother had to perform CPR on her own child with his siblings standing by. The paramedics then arrived on scene and continued CPR for another two hourss before rushing him to KGH for further treatment.  His heart was not responding so they took Sky into surgery and placed a heart and lung machine inside him along with life support. After his surgery they noticed a bleed they couldn't stop. He lost all his bodys worth of blood. They sent him into surgery again. They managed to stop the bleed.  He was then given blood in replace of his.  At this point he was given 10 to 20% chance at survival. Fast forward through many tears, screams, hugs and worrying the next day he took a turn for the better. His heart started to show signs of being able to beat on it's own so they took him back to surgery to remove the heart and lung machine. He today is free of life support and heart machines. Skyler is slowly being weaned off of sedation and waking up. He is so strong, scared and confused when he wakes up he tries to get up and move so they keep having to sedate him again for safely. He has opened his eyes and asked for water. The kid even said thank you! We are unsure of how much his brain remembers or what it actually can do.
I am asking everyone for prayers for not only Sky but his friends and family that are supporting him and eachother.
Through all of this you can imagine the bills that can and will pile up for my sister.. She has 6 other children at home to take care of as well. The cost of gas, food and parking is adding up immensely and without being able to work the bills will too. If you are able to contribute in anyway financially everyone will be so grateful on so many levels.. If you can't please just say a prayer as this man will be here for months I am sure and has a very long uncertain road to recovery. Much love to all. Keep fighting Sky we are all here for you ❤
