On Saturday, September 6th, our family experienced a horrific incident. Our neighbor rang our Ring Doorbell, and when Oscar (my husband) answered it, our neighbor asked if we were home. It turned out our house had smoke coming out of the vents. Luckily, we were not home.

We rushed to our house to find 5 to 6 fire trucks. Oscar assisted the fire marshal with answering questions, while our 8-year-old son and I stood across the street with our neighbors watching the firefighters work. The damages were so severe, the house was declared uninhabitable.

With the help of family and friends, we have a place to stay and were able to salvage clothes for our little family.

We ask that you include us in your prayers as we try to wake up from this nightmare. I know the Lord only gives us what we can handle, and we're hanging onto hope because of Him.

Our insurance company stated that we only had dwelling coverage, and our personal belongings will not be covered.

Donations we are requesting are to cover the most important items: kitchen appliances (stove and refrigerator), dining room table, living room sofas, washer, and dryer.
