Please Support Lisa (Morin) LaFrance and Family

It's been a while since I have posted an update.  Our fundraiser has been hugely successful, though we are still shy of our goal.  I wanted to reach out to see if we could make another strong push toward achieving $50K.  I am sensitive to the fact that this is the busy holiday season, and we all have plenty of things going on.  When you get a chance to sit back at the end or your collective busy days, if you can continue to spread the word and spread the love for the LaFrance family, your efforts will be greatly appreciated.  Lisa is currently fighting through another hospitalization, we pray that she'll make yet another successful recovery to be home for the holidays.  As always, thank you for your continued thoughts, prayers and loving support!

The Story
In October 2019, Lisa was diagnosed with Stage 4 Glioblastoma Brain cancer. Like the warrior she is, Lisa has been successfully fighting this disease with pure vengeance. Throughout her challenges, Lisa has endured no less than nine (9) Urinary Tract Infections, cancer surgeries, and constant chemo and radiation treatments. In typical Lisa-like fashion, she’s responded with….“what else you got?” What an incredible “tough cookie” Lisa has been!

 

Unfortunately, Lisa is being tested again. In August of 2021, a neurologist diagnosed Lisa with Parkinson’s Disease. Parkinson’s is a disorder of the central nervous system that causes a lack of dopamine. This can in turn cause tremors, rigidity, instability and lack of voluntary muscle movement. The doctors made it clear that the Parkinson’s is completely unrelated to the glioblastoma brain cancer. Rest assured, Lisa LaFrance will fight this too!

 

The unpredictable and ongoing financial challenges of battling cancer are devastating. The LaFrance’s have resisted any financial help for nearly two years, but the time has come to change that narrative. Lisa’s medical bills have not been entirely covered by medical insurance and have become overly burdensome. Right now, the LaFrance Family needs the assistance to make that happen, and thus the reason for the Go Fund Me request. We need to help Lisa and Greg…..and we need to start now.
