Support the Koppenhaver Family

Hello,
I know all our hearts are breaking for the Koppenhaver family. Unfortunately, there is little we can do to help at this point other than pray.

The Koppenhaver family are the givers, they have the biggest hearts and souls. They are not ones to receive but their loving community of all of you has shown that you are looking for ways to show your support.

With that in mind we have created this page as a way for us to support them, whether it's medical bills, time off work, meals, or anything else the last thing they need to be worried about during this time is financial implications. Any amount you can offer will benefit a meal, a coffee, a portion toward a bill, there is no amount too small.
You can also venmo Randy at @randy-koppenhaver. Please keep praying.

Updated as of 12.25.21 a note from Randy, Kenzie & Brenna's Dad:
Long post. I apologize in advance, but I know some people have heard things and maybe rumors are going around. But yesterday, Christmas Eve, our daughters Kenzie and Brenna were involved in a serious car accident on their way to work. Both girls were taken to Theda Care in Neenah by ambulance, which is where we are presently. Brenna suffered a fractured pelvis and lacerated spleen. She's been a real trooper as the OT and PT staff have worked with her on mobility and transitioning to and from the wheelchair, which she may be confined to for up to a month. They're holding her one more night for observation on her splenic laceration. The plan is, she will go home tomorrow.

Kenzie, on the other hand, has more severe injuries. Whereas the air bags probably saved Brenna's life, Kenzie's airbags did not deploy. She has a fractured skull and some bleeding and bruising of the brain. She has not been conscious since the accident. They drilled into her skull and are monitoring her cranial pressure. The doctors are telling us this is a marathon and not a sprint. Although not much has changed for her in the last 24 hours, the doctors assure us this is good. She hasn't needed emergency surgery which has some real risks. To compound the situation, Kenzie tested positive for covid which meant we weren't allowed to be with her. Fortunately, someone in the ICU took pity on us, and we WERE allowed to see her this afternoon for about 20 minutes. She wasn't responsive but we told her how much love and prayer was being sent her way. As we were leaving, the nurse said she was glad we came down. Her cranial pressure had been in the teens and dropped to around 8 while we were in the room and talking to her. We believe she could hear us and this gives us hope.

Many have asked if we need anything. We appreciate that. Mostly what we need now are prayers, love and positive energy. This is terrifying for Mel and I. I have never felt so helpless in my life.
Please pray fiercely for our Kenzie. Please pray for Brenna as she has some real challenges ahead of her. Please play for Peyton who's incredibly worried about her sisters and hasn't been allowed to see them. And please pray for Mel and I. We need all the strength we can get. Lastly, hold your loved ones close. Life can change in the blink of an eye.

We love you all and thank you for your thoughts and prayers. We're getting a lot of messages, so if we don't respond immediately, don't take it personally.
