With your help, Disabled Hikers created five comprehensive new guides in 3 states, including accessible outdoor trips near Boise, Idaho and a guide to the redwoods and giant sequoia parks of Northern California. And hopefully, you’ve heard our Founder and Director, Syren Nagakyrie, released the first-ever hiking guidebook created by and for disabled people: <em>The Disabled Hikers Guide to Western Washington and Oregon</em>.

<div>Disabled Hikers was created to center and facilitate disabled people’s experiences in the outdoors. Disability has been left out of the outdoor community for far too long. It is time to welcome Disabled people’s wisdom and expertise as we work towards building a more equitable, accessible, and inclusive outdoors.
