Ann and Tim Finnegan are facing an unimaginable loss. Their beloved 24-year-old son, Matthew Finnegan, passed away on February 9, 2026, after a courageous battle with kidney cancer. Matthew was not only a cherished son and brother, but also one of Milton's finest baseball players, remembered for his spirit and kindness.

 This tragedy comes at a time when the family is already under immense strain. Ann suffered a stroke two years ago and has been unable to work since, while their younger child is currently in college. With only Tim able to work, the family has been struggling to make ends meet. Now, they are faced with the overwhelming costs of giving Matthew the funeral he deserves.

 While nothing can ease the pain of losing a child, being able to lay Matthew to rest in the finest manner possible would bring some comfort and help the family begin to heal.
