<div>Help Preserve a Lost Piece of Railroad Film History
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The mission of the F40PH Preservation Society, Inc. is best known for our long-term goal of preserving an iconic F40PH locomotive for future generations. However, our organization’s mission also extends to preserving and sharing important pieces of railroad history in all forms — including rare films, photographs, and historical media.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Today, we are asking for your help to preserve a unique and nearly forgotten piece of railroad cinema history: The New Road’s Mascot.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This historic fictional railroad-related film is currently held by the Library of Congress. While the film is in the public domain, obtaining a professional high-quality scan from the Library of Congress comes with a cost of approximately $380.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Our goal is simple:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Fund the professional archival scan of the film
</div>
<div>Preserve the film digitally for future generations
</div>
<div>Upload the completed scan to the Internet Archive where it will be freely available for everyone to watch, study, share, and use without restriction
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Projects like this are important because railroad history is more than locomotives alone — it also lives through the stories, films, and cultural artifacts that captured the public imagination during the golden age of rail travel and industry.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Without preservation efforts, many of these rare works remain inaccessible to historians, railfans, filmmakers, educators, and the public. By funding this scan, you are directly helping save a small but meaningful part of American railroad heritage and making it permanently accessible to the world.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Every donation, no matter the amount, helps move this project closer to completion.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you for supporting railroad preservation in all its forms and for helping us ensure that this rare film is not lost to history.
