Letter from Independent Musicians (Jim Cash and Ashley Cash of Waking Stone),

In the past few years we have been committed to finding the most financially sustainable music creation and production methods possible. Since 2020, when the live music industry took a big turn, we made a choice to focus on studio production and producing our body of work, rather than continuing the live tour track. Since then, we’ve dedicated hundreds of hours to training and continued education in studio production techniques and learning modern innovations in the music production process.

We pride ourselves on being able to produce our music from our home studio and our ability to offer a high-quality, industry level sound production for our original music. By doing this we have saved ourselves thousands (really 10s of thousands) of dollars in production costs. There are, however, still a lot of production costs that we incur as artists releasing music in the modern age. The list below and the goal of this funding campaign is for production costs only and does not include what it takes to market or promote our music.

Annual Costs for 10 songs per year production:

Mixing Costs $5000

Mastering Costs $2500

Distribution Costs $500

Note: we are currently 6 songs into our 10 songs for 2024 and have 10 more in the line for mixing and mastering in 2025.
