Many of us who know and love the fabulous Carey family have been thinking of ways to support them over this past year. For those of you who know Bob, Anita, Jake, Gavin and Sami, know that they are an extraordinary family. They are hardworking, strong and loved by all who know them. Bob is a man you can call at any time and from anywhere and he will be there for you…no questions asked. We hope you will join us in being there for him now.
In the Fall of 2018 Bob was diagnosed with a rare virus that rendered him completely deaf in his left ear. This complete hearing loss has caused multitude of side effects that have made it impossible for this man to work since November of 2018. In the process of treating this virus, the doctors discovered that Bob also has kidney cancer. On March 28th, Bob had surgery to remove the cancer. It is anticipated that he will need 12-18 weeks to recover from the surgery. At this moment, the doctors do not believe that Bob will need chemotherapy or radiation, however he will not be able to return to work as a deputy sheriff. This has caused challenges for this family.
We hope that raising money will alleviate some of the stress this family is experiencing. Your donations will offset any financial burden that will arise while Bob is recovering.
