Help Sustain Our Creativity, Community, and Innovation

Tax deductible
Greetings from the Brickyard Collaborative, Lynns’ 100% volunteer-based, non profit 501(c)(3) makerspace!

We’re a unique space where artists, creatives, and small business owners come together to share tools, knowledge, and ideas, bringing innovation to life. But today, we need your help to keep our doors open and ensure this vital community resource continues to thrive.

What is a Makerspace?
Think of a makerspace as a gym for your creative potential. Just as a gym gives you access to equipment and resources to improve your physical fitness, the Brickyard gives you access to a wide array of tools and spaces that help bring ideas to life. Whether it’s woodworking, metalworking, 3D printing, textiles, photography, or even our one-of-a-kind Risograph printer—accessible to graphic artists in the region—we provide the resources to turn inspiration into tangible results. But it’s not just about the tools; it’s about the community. We pool our talents, share knowledge, and collaborate in ways that push us all forward.

Why the Brickyard Matters
We’re more than just a workshop. We’re a community lifeline for local makers, tinkerers, DIYers, and entrepreneurs, many of whom rely on the Brickyard to fuel their businesses. From boat builders and woodworkers to metalsmiths and electricians, we help local innovators find the resources, support, and connections they need to succeed.

But we’re facing new challenges. Rising costs—of utilities, rent, and daily operations—combined with a shift in the arts grant landscape, have put significant strain on our resources. Several of the grants we’ve relied on for years have disappeared, leaving us in a difficult position.

We Need Your Help
Our new leadership is working on a strategic plan to make the Brickyard more self-sustaining and to strengthen our connections with the North Shore community. But for now, we need your support to keep the doors open in early 2025. We’re launching this fundraising campaign to raise $25,000 to help us cover operating expenses for the first quarter of the year.

This funding will allow us to rebalance, re-envision, and re-energize our space, ensuring that our members can continue to be creative, productive, and inspired.

Will You Help?
We are asking for your support to help us keep the Brickyard running while we work towards a sustainable future. Your donation will directly contribute to:

  • Keeping our space open and accessible to local artists and entrepreneurs.
  • Providing a safe and collaborative environment for creativity and innovation to flourish.
  • Ensuring that our diverse community of makers, small businesses, and nonprofits continue to thrive.

Since 2018, The Brickyard has been a place where ideas are sparked, skills are honed, and community connections are made. We believe in the power of collaboration and innovation to change lives, but we can’t do it without you.

Will you help make creativity, community, and innovation grow on the North Shore? Your contribution, no matter the size, will have a lasting impact on our mission and the people we serve. Thank you for supporting the Brickyard Collaborative—together, we can build a stronger, more creative future.
