Support the Blind Chef Cafe Penrith

Our mate Craig Shanahan is living proof that you can follow your dreams regardless of your circumstances!

Diagnosed with cancer at the age of two, Craig tragically lost his left eye. At 23, he suffered a life threatening brain tumor and lost all vision in his other eye leaving him legally blind. Craig has spent most of his life battling health issues which has restricted his ability to work.

Refusing to let this get in the way of his goals, Craig, with his guide dog Rocko by his side, registered the name ‘The Blind Chef Café and Dessert Bar’ and secured a spot for his business in Penrith.

Sadly in March this year, tragedy struck again...

Craig was days away from his bank loan lodgement and then COVID-19 hit. Craig's now been put into a difficult situation. The bank has put a hold on his loan process which has left him paying $6,000 a month in rent to secure his premise. Currently, Craig's only income is his $945 a fortnight disability support pension.

Craig has invested all of his superannuation, time and effort to make his dream a reality.

This is where you can help to keep Craig's dream alive!

If you are in a position to financially support Craig, please donate as little or as much as you can. All financial support will cover the monthly rent and keep Craig's premise secured until the banks starting processing business loans again.
