Support the Black Box Launch!

Hi! We’re the Black Box Project, a new play reading series and artist’s salon for Black playwrights. Our mission is simple: to provide Black playwrights across the diaspora a space to improve their craft through readings, workshops, and feedback. We’ve chosen two exciting, beautifully crafted new pieces for our inaugural reading, picked a date, and have been offered space at The Tank in midtown, and now need to get the event on its feet! Help us give these vibrant emerging Black voices the platform they deserve! 

Donations will be put towards:
-Stipends to compensate actors & producers 
-Printing costs
-Rehearsal space
-Event supplies to make our first reading as accommodating and all-around lit as possible.
