The family’s mother (Kayla, 42) was sleeping in preparation for work, as she works night shifts. Her daughter (Kendahl, 17) was already at work for the day, her son (Cason, 13) was getting ready to hop in the shower, and her mom was working from home in her office. The family’s grandmother noticed her WiFi had cut out and was trying to figure out the cause. She went to the living room to find a fire spreading on the floor; she rushed to grab a fire extinguisher and put it out. She thought it was gone, but when she turned, a wall of fire rushed up above her. Realizing there was no putting it out, she screamed for help. Nobody heard her, but what woke the sleeping mother was the sound of banging on the door and the doorbell. She saw nothing but the floor and smoke surrounding her. She ran to get her son and heard her mother screaming. They evacuated the house and found the people banging on the door, who had already called the fire department. Once the fire department arrived, it took them nearly five hours to diminish and put out the fire. <strong>Help this family get back to their day-to-day life and find stability in this tough time, especially right before the holidays.</strong>
