Hi everyone, meet sweet Tilly - my closest friends Zach and Emily Bastow’s daughter (and my BFF). She is amazing and at 10 months old already has many skills including being a talented dancer in her high chair, a total ninja and a punk rocker. She is the newest addition to the Bastow family and if you know them, you know what a vibrant light they bring to our community.

 

Recently Zach and Emily had to bring Tilly to the the ER with a high fever that wouldn't break.  Over the course of a harrowing week, she was ultimately diagnosed with AML Leukemia. She has since started chemo at Seattle Children's Hospital. This treatment will last for at least 10 months and will require Zach and Emily to be split by the two-hour drive between Seattle, caring for Tilly, and Bellingham, raising their older daughter who is in elementary school. All the while they will both be working to support their household.

 

Since Zach snd Emily will be forced to work less during this difficult time and face increased travel costs, meals on the go, not to mention the daunting medical bills that accompany any cancer treatment, we are raising funds to support their family. Please join us in shouldering this burden for the Bastow family. We will keep you updated on how Tilly is doing. Thank you so much for your help!
