Support the Anna Family After Hurricane Helene

Mother Anna is an incredible, hardworking mother of six—ranging from a high school senior to a 4-year-old. Tragically, their biological father was killed, leaving Mother Anna and her children to navigate life’s challenges without him. Recently, Mother Anna faced a life-threatening situation. While returning home from work, she was caught in rising waters during flash flooding from Hurricane Helene. In her moment of desperation, she called out to her higher power, determined to survive for her children, who have already lost so much. Her vehicle, one of two in which the family were residing in, was not salvageable but thankfully her life was spared.

Unfortunately, their situation has worsened. Their last vehicle was rear-ended while the entire family was inside, leaving them without reliable transportation. The Anna family were living in these two cars prior to hurricane Helene. They are currently facing homelessness, with plans to stay in a tent and their suburban vehicle, which is now damaged. Mother Anna’s husband works north of Asheville, while she works south of the city, and they coordinate their schedules to ensure their children are always cared for. One of the children also has a job and now the entire family is dependent on one damaged vehicle to transport all family members to schools and jobs. Despite the hardships, Mother Anna remains resourceful and devoted to her family.

We are assisting Mother Anna in applying for temporary housing, but we urgently need your help to secure a safe place for this family of eight. Every contribution will make a significant difference in their lives during this difficult time. The funds will also assist with utilities and daily essentials.
