Our neighbors, the Alvarez family, have suffered a devastating loss after an electrical fire severely damaged their family home at 2051 N. Spalding.

This is more than just a house. It is a multigenerational family home where grandparents, parents, children, and grandchildren have lived together and made memories for many years. This family has been a part of the neighborhood for a long time, and now they are facing an incredibly difficult time.

Tragically, the family also lost their beloved dog in the fire, adding an unimaginable amount of grief to everything they are already going through.

Right now, the Alvarez family needs our help with the basic necessities of everyday life, including food, clothing, shoes, bedding, temporary living expenses, and other immediate needs. They also need financial assistance to begin the long process of repairing and restoring their home so their family can eventually return.

We are asking our neighbors, friends, family, and anyone who feels moved to help to come together for the Alvarez family. Any donation, no matter the amount, can make a difference. If you are unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser can help us reach someone who can.

Let’s show the Alvarez family that they are not alone and that their community is behind them as they work to rebuild their home and their lives.
