<div>My name is Santiago Mendoza, and I'm a junior in high school from Miami. In 2022, my aunt Judith was diagnosed with ALS — amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. Over the next few years, I watched this disease take away her movement, her voice, and eventually her life in 2026. She was one of the most vibrant, loving people I've ever known. Losing Judith is what moved me to take action.
