I was honored to be his roommate in Marlatt Hall 107, shared many of the same classes and major, and stood by his side as best man at his and Shelby's wedding.

On Monday night, Thatcher was involved in a severe welding accident which required him to be airlifted from McCook to Kearney to receive advanced care for his injuries.

<div>Thatcher is not just a welder; he is a beloved husband, father, son, brother, friend, and member of his community.
