Hi, my name is Tess, and asking for help is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do. But right now my family and I are facing a situation that we simply cannot manage alone. I have been diagnosed with fibrosing mediastinitis, a rare and serious disease that causes scar tissue to grow in the chest and slowly compress the lungs and blood vessels. Over time, this has caused severe damage to my lungs and circulation. Doctors have confirmed that my left lung has essentially lost function, and my right lung is also being affected. Living with this disease means constant medical appointments, hospital stays, procedures, and medications just to manage symptoms and keep things stable. The condition is extremely rare, which makes treatment complicated and often requires specialists and travel for care. While we are doing everything we can medically, the financial reality has become overwhelming.

 The funds raised will help with medical bills and specialist care, travel for treatment and consultations, medications and ongoing testing, daily living expenses while I am unable to work consistently, and supporting my family and children during this difficult time.
