<div>Apparently her unit is no longer livable, so Teruko and Titi have been quietly staying with friends, presumably trying not to make a big deal out of something that is, categorically, a huge deal. And I'm so sorry but THAT IS NOT THE WAY THIS IS GONNA GO.

<div>If you know Teruko, you almost certainly already know this, but for everyone who's made their way here without meeting her: when this woman meets you, the first question out of her mouth is "when is your birthday?" Then she puts it in her phone, and <em>seconds</em> after midnight on your special day, you get a block of text from Teruko telling you how much you mean to her. It's insane. And that's just the tip of the iceberg of how she shows up as a friend. We are so lucky to know this woman.
