<div><strong>Terrica is currently an associate principal</strong>, and most of you who are educators know that we only get 7 days of paid leave (charter). Terrica is an avid traveler, so with that being said, she doesn’t have a lot of PTO days left. She was recently diagnosed with a very aggressive breast cancer. <strong>This is happening extremely fast, and her absences are only going to be more frequent when she starts chemotherapy next week.</strong> In case you didn’t know, teachers' salary is only for a 9-month period but gets extended over 12 months. So if you miss a day outside your PTO, they take the daily rate of the 9-month period. She has an 11-month treatment plan and a surgery scheduled where she will not be able to work for about 6-8 weeks. Her medical bills and co-pays are already getting up there. <strong>Your donations will help cover her medical expenses and time away from work.</strong>
