My name is Melissa and I’m organizing this GoFundMe for my boyfriend’s mom. Her name is Teri. Back in 2023, she was diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis followed by a diagnosis of pulmonary hypertension. Over time, it has caused her health to severely decline. Within the last few months, she has been going through the process of getting on the transplant list for a new set of lungs. On March 27th, she was admitted into the Vanderbilt Transplant Facility, where she will stay until she receives a full lung transplant. As of now, she is at the top of the list for a double lung transplant. Teri has been placed on ECMO to help the blood supply going to her lungs and heart to keep her organs strong so she will be ready when a lung is available.

A little history of Teri: she’s a mom of 2 incredible men, followed by 5 precious grandkids, with a great-grandson on the way.

After the transplant surgery, she will need a full-time caregiver for 3 months so she can make a full recovery. At this time, we are asking for donations to cover the remaining costs of medical bills, lodging, food, and necessities to cover the time between now and recovery. We all pray that God will keep His hand on Teri through this whole process because it’s been a long journey and is going to continue to be a journey until she finds a transplant.
