Support Team Dean

Last Saturday night, while attending the Father Daughter Dance with Bayley, Dean thought he was suffering from an awful case of heartburn. Thanks to his quick thinking wife, and her nursing intuition, Dean was able to arrive at the ER with only minutes to spare before going into full cardiac arrest. The team at Maine General responded immediately and worked diligently to save his life. Dean was then rushed to the Cath Lab at Maine Med in Portland where it was discovered that he had a 99% blockage of his Rt. Coronary Artery. Thankfully, the team was able to successfully place a stent in the artery and return blood flow to the heart. Yesterday, after 3 days in the Cardiac ICU and 2 days on the Cardiac Unit, Dean was transferred to Maine General in Augusta for rehabilitation. The last 6 days have been an emotional roller coaster for his wife and family, who stayed by his side the entire time. That's because Dean is a Fantastic husband, father, son, and friend.. Since then, we have received multiple inquiries from people asking how they can help, or if anyone is collecting money, like on a GoFundMe page. Even though very few people knew this even happened, the outpouring of support received by the family has been overwhelming to say the least. This community is amazing and people are asking to help. So here is an avenue for anyone that would like to help reduce any financial burden that might result from this trying time. Anything that helps to offset some of the costs associated with this, is one less thing that the family has to worry about. Thank you to everyone that has helped out already, and God Bless. Go Sox!!
