Hi everyone,
Some of you may know me from high school or from around the OC, LA, or Santa Barbara areas — or even through work. I’m reaching out today because I’m going through one of the hardest times in my life, and I’ve finally worked up the courage to ask for help.
I’m a single parent doing everything I can to support my son and keep a roof over our heads. I’ve been driving for Lyft every day, and while I’m grateful for every ride, the income just isn’t enough to cover gas, bills, and the daily essentials my son needs. On top of that, I’m struggling with debt and doing my best just to keep my car — which is my only source of income right now.
I’ve applied for unemployment and disability, but unfortunately, I’ve been denied both. I’ve hit a low point that I never imagined I would reach. I’ve always been too proud and stubborn to ask for help — but at this point, I’m out of options. I just want to provide for my son and give him the life he deserves.
If you’re able to help in any way — even just sharing this — I would be deeply grateful. Every little bit truly makes a difference.
Thank you for taking the time to read this. It means more than you know.
With love and hope,
Talisa.
