Sweet Melissa Simar

My dear, sweet friend, Melissa Simar is undergoing yet another heart surgery. Melissa had lymphoma twice as a young gal and the radiation damaged the heart muscles and caused scar tissue. Her Congested Heart Failure and Pulmonary Fibrosis is continuing to deteriorate her health. Her doctors are hopeful that having a TAVR procedure will improve her quality of life, allowing her to lie down flat and be able to breathe without effort, relieve her shortness of breath somewhat, give her a break from the constant exhaustion, and just help her to feel like a normal 40 year old, not an 85 year old. She knows God is in control and completely trusts His plan. 
Melissa is a single mom, and lives at least 3 hours from closest family. She moved to Raleigh in order to be close to her heart doctors at Duke Medical. She is unable to work due to her multiple health issues. Any monies donated would be amazing to help her eat the healthiest foods for recovery, gas to and from the multiple doctors appointments and cardiac rehab appointments as well as being a mom to a teenage boy who has needs! It’s blown my mind to see her get by as long as she has on the little income the government provides. Let’s first of all, PRAY OVER MELISSA as she undergoes surgery Wednesday, March 21st.
