Cinema Femme Short Film Showcase is in need of a virtual platform that best elevates the emerging female-identifying filmmakers whose films we showcase. Our festival is focused on elevating these filmmakers, their work, and connecting them to seasoned womxn in film mentors. Our Short Film showcase is a bi-monthly film festival. Previously, we had a successful four-day festival in August, and then we just completed our festival showcase in February.
The virtual platform we need your support in purchasing is Eventive . This is the ideal platform so we can make the films more accessible along with LIVE Q&As and panel events. The cost for the festival platform for a year is $975, and as a small organization being funded mostly by myself, the Festival Director, we need your financial support. Our next showcase is in April, and we'd love to get your support so we can afford to use this platform for our April showcase and then for the rest of our 2021 screenings.
With your donation, you'll be helping female-identifying filmmakers have sustainable careers. We receive submissions by womxn from all over the world, and we see a lot of emerging talent that we want to shine a light on through our showcase. Please help us in shining the brightest light on these talented filmmakers and their work. Thank you.
Cinema Femme is a platform for emerging female-identifying and non-binary filmmakers. To support these filmmakers we showcase their short films, provide education through features with womxn and non-binary in film, and offer mentorship between seasoned and emerging filmmakers. We are vocal about the need for women, women of color and LGBTQ representation onscreen and behind the lens. We believe that together we can change the industry for the better.
