<div>I turn 28 this March and I hope that this year will be the last I spent being abused. I am in an active and ongoing crisis; my abuser is extremely upfront about their compulsive need for my total submission. While the harm of transphobia, homophobia and religious psychosis is very present it just feels like sprinkles on top of the rest of BS I deal with on a daily basis. My abuse is characterized by my abuser's systematic, calculated and deliberate intent to establish total dominance over me illustrated by long-term, sustained patterns of abuse which in some instances qualifies as torture.

<div>I am neurodivergent, disabled and have on-going health issues. It's already a struggle to take care of myself and my pet cat which can only be overshadowed by the difficulty of gaining employment at all.

<div>I’m ultimately forced to depend on my mother, my abuser, who is unreliable and punishes me for needing help in the first place.

<div><strong><em>I am starving, being starved and my life is in danger.</em></strong>

<div>Food is the weapon of choice in my household and if I earn my abuser’s ire, for whatever reason, I am banned from using the kitchen, the fridge as well as the food within. This punishment is reinforced by the other adult family members that live in the home. If caught eating when not allowed, I risk extreme physical violence. I’ve been hit enough times to understand that my family is ready, willing and able to take my life provided the opportunity and if angry enough.

<div>There is a lot I could go into detail about my experiences being abused by family, the financial extortion, the malicious destruction of my personal property, my cat being attacked, the shame, eating dog food for survival,  the isolation, the control, the trauma but the main point I am desperately trying to get across this that; I am not safe and I need to get out!
