To ensure my children's financial well-being while I take leave to care for my infant son, Steven Thompson, who is undergoing surgery this week, I am seeking financial assistance to help cover, costs for Food, traveling expenses and bills that may need paid while I can not work.

My anticipated absence from work for the next two weeks, coupled with ongoing travel expenses (hotels, gas, food, childcare) for my older child and myself during necessary, intermittent trips, has significantly impacted my savings and time at work. This should be a brief trial; however, we must continue with the appointments at the Children's Hospital. I'm unsure of the duration, but I am most concerned about the financial implications of the surgery and required time off work. My goal is to just get through this surgery and this time off work without becoming completely broke.

Asking for help is beyond who I am. Those who know me are aware of my diligent work ethic and my commitment to providing excellent financial support for myself and my children without relying on outside help. I am very proud of this. However, with my sick baby facing surgery, my focus is solely on being here for him.
