<div>Dear family, friends, and community, We are reaching out with heavy hearts to ask for your urgent support for our beloved cousin, Steven Ramón Cruz Monegro, who recently suffered a severe accident and is now in critical condition. Steven is facing multiple life-threatening injuries: a fractured femur with several breaks, over 100 stitches across his forehead and eyebrow, and internal bleeding caused by damage to both his spleen and liver. He has already undergone emergency surgery, during which he lost four pints of blood, and doctors urgently require four more transfusions today because he continues to bleed internally. At this moment, Steven is intubated and remains in intensive care. The situation is even more difficult because: • In the Dominican Republic, blood transfusions are very expensive, and patients must secure donors or pay high costs to access them. • The family comes from a very humble background and does not have the means to cover these medical expenses. • Unfortunately, his health insurance had expired, leaving the family fully responsible for the costs of treatment. • Public hospitals in the Dominican Republic often lack the equipment and resources to handle such a complex and critical case. For Steven to have a real chance of survival, it is urgent to move him to a private clinic, but the costs are far beyond what his family can afford. For these reasons, we have created this fundraising campaign. The funds will go directly toward: • Multiple surgeries (including additional abdominal and orthopedic procedures). • Expensive blood transfusions. • Intensive care unit costs. • Medications and medical supplies. • Potential transfer to a private clinic for more specialized care. The estimated expenses are extremely high, and that is why we are asking for your help. This amount will give Steven a fighting chance at survival and recovery. Every donation, no matter the size, is a blessing. Your generosity will not only help save Steven’s life but will also give hope to his family during this heartbreaking time. ❤️ We are deeply grateful for your prayers, your solidarity, and your support.
