<div>Steve Winter encompasses what it is to be a man of faith, integrity, determination, and compassion. He is the best husband, dad, Papa, friend, and leader to all who know him. He is also a master contractor with his own business and, as his many customers can attest, completes only the best and most quality results. He is a selfless example of hard work and service, and it just seems you become a better version of yourself when being around Steve!

<div>Around Memorial Day, Steve began feeling instances of pain, extreme fatigue, and sickness. With his sweetheart, Wendy, by his side, various doctor visits and tests were completed to try to figure out what was going on. On May 31, Steve was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML), an aggressive form of blood and bone marrow cancer. Within hours of this diagnosis, he was admitted to LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City and will be in-patient for at least the next several weeks.

<div>Though the details of his treatment plan continue to be figured out, he had a port placed for treatment and he will begin chemotherapy today (6/3). Amidst the AML diagnosis, tests have shown he also has pneumonia, low immunity, and was deemed to have had a small stroke. The road ahead will be difficult, yet Steve is ready to take on this fight.
