Support Steve and Aurora

On August 14, 2022, Miss Aurora was brought into this world. Under unfortunate circumstances, her mother was unable to make it. We are asking if anyone can help support miss Aurora Grace and her father, Steve.

Today has been bittersweet and there truly is no easy way to say this. Aurora Grace Miracle-Kass was born at 2:32am this morning via emergency C-section. Amber became unresponsive and was not breathing shortly after her water broke. The doctors rushed in and took her to the OR for delivery. Upon delivery, the team at NM Huntley determined that she was suffering from amniotic fluid embolism. The fluids had gotten into her bloodstream and her systems started to fail. Over the next 3.5 hours, they performed 7-8 rounds of CPR until I had to make the decision that is going to be with me the rest of my life. My loving wife Amber passed shortly after 6am this morning with me by her side.

Due to the circumstances surrounding the delivery, Aurora has since been transferred over to a level 3 care unit in Rockford. Her heart rate/blood pressure/respiratory systems have stabilized since birth and she will be monitored during a whole body cooling over the next 3-4 days. At this time, all signs are pointing up for her.

For those that didn’t know, Amber and I were united in marriage on February 19th at 8:45am. We enjoyed nearly 6 months of being husband and wife.

I love you Iza AK. You were my rock. You were such an incredible mother and I thank you for teaching me how to be the father you would have wanted our little girl to have. I’ll keep an eye on Karsen and raise Aurora like we had planned. Rest easy baby.
