Support Stephen's Cancer Battle

In February of this year the Crouch Family received devastating news, Stephen was diagnosed with Stage IV Colon Cancer that had metastasized to his liver. Since his diagnosis Stephen has received numerous Chemotherapy treatments, underwent surgery to remove a mass from his colon and began a clinical trial at UVa. Brooke and Stephen have been traveling back and forth from UVa several times a month to receive treatments.

Stephen recently met with a liver surgeon, not just a liver surgeon but the BEST liver surgeon in the country, and Dr. Fong believes strongly that he can help Stephen in his cancer battle. Dr. Fong is located in California so Stephen, Brooke, and their son Carter will be traveling to California on November 14th with a planned surgery date of November 17th for Liver Resection Surgery. They will then stay in California for 2-3 weeks depending on how the surgery goes. This is great news and an incredible opportunity, that they are ever grateful for!

I have known Brooke since I was 5 years old, we grew up together, have gotten married, started families, have seen each other through all of the good times, all of the hard times and have a treasure trove of stories and memories. She is my best friend. And Stephen is EVERYTHING you would want for your best friend! They truly are “Couple Goals” in every sense of the phrase. His quick wit and sense of humor is my personal favorite!

I want nothing more than to help Stephen, Brooke and Carter through this next step in their journey (it’s a big one!) and I know they are surrounded by so many people that love them and want to help any way they can. They will be across the country in California, away from their home, for a minimum of 2-3 weeks and will incur many expenses, including airline tickets, hotel and AirBNB (for weeks), rental car, gas, food to name a few. All donations raised through this GoFund Me will go towards those expenses and any medical expenses in the future.
