Support Stephen Lawrence Trust & Steve Reid

We are raising money through a series of online events with guest speakers looking into the importance of music during isolation.

In the first event we invited BBC radio host and Worldwide FM founder Gilles Peterson to discuss the albums that have been giving him solace, comfort and inspiration, so expect to be turned on to some great new music.

If you are in a position to support, please contribute to our GoFundMe campaign. Proceeds are split 50/50 between Classic Album Sundays and Gilles Peterson’s charities of choice The Stephen Lawrence Charitable Trust and The Steve Reid Foundation.

The Stephen Lawrence Charitable Trust work with young people from disadvantaged backgrounds aged 13 to 30 to inspire and enable them to succeed in the career of their choice. They also work to create a fairer society in which everyone, regardless of their background, can flourish.

The Steve Reid Foundation While aims to help people working in music who are in crisis, especially those suffering from illness. They seek to support emerging new talent through education and information initiatives.

With in-person events cancelled for the foreseeable future, Classic Album Sundays has moved all activity online and have continued to offer video streams, album presentations, podcasts and playlists for free of charge. Any support to help ensure Classic Album Sundays survival is much appreciated.
