<div>The Star Trek Family, a fan organization, is raising <strong>Disaster Relief Money for anyone that has been impacted by the Los Angeles fires.</strong> Families are being displaced, losing their homes and all of their personal belongings. Pets are being displaced, lost in the chaos. People are being forced to evacuate and move to safer areas. <strong>Things like food, hotels, water, clothing, disaster relief supplies, and emergency pet care are desperately needed.</strong> Compassion and monetary resources are one major way that we can come to the rescue of folks that have lost everything or are displaced from their normal lives by the raging fires in Los Angeles.

<div>WHO DOES THIS BENEFIT:

<div>This Disaster Relief Fund (DRF) is for the benefit of <strong>anyone who is a member of the Star Trek Family - our fellow Trekkie fans AND Actors and Creatives included.</strong> Anyone can apply for help. There will be a review process to ensure that no one applies in bad faith. Once the review is completed, funds will be transmitted directly to the affected parties for their emergency needs.

<div>People affected by the fires can apply for any amount needed to meet their crisis needs. Approved amounts will be judged on a case-by-case basis. During the application, receipts (for hotels, etc.) will be sought during the review process to ensure that folks are getting the funds that they need.

<div>If there are funds left over in this fundraiser after all affected parties have been awarded, the remaining money will be donated to a non-profit charity out of Los Angeles that is directly working on behalf of folks affected by the fires. The Hollywood Food Coalition (<a href="https://www.hofoco.org" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">www.hofoco.org</a>) is actively supporting the community and the homeless affected in the area with food, water, shelter, and other necessary resources to help them in this crisis.
