Support Special Ed School on Navajo Reservation
Donation protected
Hi, my name is NaShia. In 2012, I lived and worked on the Navajo Reservation at St. Michael's Association for Special Education in Window Rock, Arizona, a school and residential program. After talking with former co-workers at the school, my friend Stephanie and I decided that we were going to help in anyway we can.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic the school had to close for the remainder of the school year. However, the residential program is still partially open and they are in need. They need masks and cleaning supplies.
Currently the Navajo Nation has close to 4,500 cases. These number continue to rise as access to personal protective equipment and cleaning supplies are extremely limited. In many cases familites do not or have limited access to clean running water.
So far we have sent almost 200 N95 masks to the school! :)
Our goal is to raise money in order to have masks and cleaning supplies mailed to the school so they can continue to provide a clean and safe place for the residents to live in.
