Update: Soup is having a bad flare up. He has blood in his urine and is having a hard time using the rest room. I thought the prescription diet was helping but this seems to be worse than his initial UTI.
Hi, my name is Sammy. Last year, I brought home my boy, Soup, after the tragic loss of my youngest cat. Soup brought so much joy during a dark time, and I am so grateful to have him.
Now, Soup is in need of some help. Earlier this month, Soup was diagnosed with a UTI and urinary crystals. He was put on meds and seemed to be doing better. After his recheck, we realized the crystals were growing rather rapidly, and in the words of his vet, he was “a ticking time bomb” and could develop a blockage at any time. He is starting to show symptoms of a possible blockage, and I, unfortunately, do not have the funds to get him the care that he needs. Urinary blockages can be fatal to male cats and Soup just turned a year old in November. He is still so young with so much life ahead of him and it would mean so much if we got this boy’s health back on track.
Any money raised would go towards his immediate care, the prescription diet that he will need to be on for the rest of his life, as well as paying back those who helped me with his initial emergency vet visit. If there are any funds that are not needed for those expenses, the rest of the proceeds will be donated to my favorite local shelters.
Thank you for your time. ❤️
