The Songwriters & Composers Guild (SCG) is a grassroots organization led by professional songwriters and producers committed to building a union that fights for fair compensation, protection, and respect in the music industry.
We advocate for a future where songwriters and producers can earn a livable wage from both composition and sound recording—not just in the streaming era but in whatever formats emerge.
Your contribution will help cover legal fees, organizing efforts, and operational costs as we work to secure a union election with the NLRB for songwriters and producers who create songs for Universal Music record labels and artists.
All funds raised will be used to:
- Supports outreach efforts to rally more songwriters to the cause
- Fund legal support to fight for our union rights
- Helps cover key administrative costs for filing and representation
- Provide critical resources for long-term organizing and lobbying
