<div>I’m reaching out on behalf of the most incredible person I know: my girlfriend, Sol.
</div>
<div>Sol was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. Over the next few months, she’ll be going through surgery, possible radiation, medication, and reconstructive procedures to treat it. While we’re optimistic and grateful that it was caught early, the road ahead is still tough. She’ll be out of work for at least 6–8 weeks during recovery, and again for reconstructive surgery later on.

<div>Sol is the kind of person who lights up a dark room. She’s a ridiculously talented bass player, a brilliant painter, and one of the most genuinely kind, generous souls I’ve ever met. She helps strangers without a second thought, always puts others first, and never asks for help, even when she could use it. If you’ve met her, you know exactly what I mean. She's quirky, hilarious, full of bad puns, and somehow always finds the silver lining in any situation.

<div>But now she needs us. She needs her friends, her community, and the people who love her to help carry some of the weight.

<div>We're raising funds to help with:

<div>Medication (which could run up to $3,000/year)
</div>
<div>Lost income during recovery (estimated $3–5,000)
</div>
<div>Any surprise insurance gaps or unexpected expenses
</div>
<div>This support will give Sol the freedom to focus entirely on healing, without the added stress of money or bills piling up. I’ve offered to take on as much as I can financially, but the reality is, this is more than one person can cover alone.

<div>We’ll also be organizing a benefit show at Powerhouse, where she works (and is loved by everyone who walks in the door). Sol will also be selling her artwork. We’ll be sharing links soon for anyone who wants to support her creative side as well.
