We want to say a special thank you to everyone who has donated to our Soba Ichi Family fundraiser. While we are currently suspending our GoFundMe, your generous contributions have helped immensely these past months. As we continue to change and adapt during COVID-19, your ongoing support has allowed our community to continue to thrive and grow. Take care, stay safe, and as always, Arigato!
During these unprecedented times, we've taken drastic steps to ensure the safety and well-being of our staff and our community. Like many other restaurants, Soba Ichi has been impacted by the Covid-19 shutdown and it is still unclear to what extent our business will be affected. While we wait out the storm together, we hope to support all of our valued staff in whatever way possible.
We are officially reaching out to our much-loved Soba community for donations to help see our employees through this crisis. All 100% of the proceeds will be equally shared amongst our small but talented and wonderful staff. Our team is like family, and we want to make sure they can continue to buy groceries, pay rent, cover medical costs, and maintain some measure of stability in the months to come. For the hosts, servers, dishwashers, bartenders, and cooks whom many of you have come to know as friends, any contribution will go a long way towards relief.
As much as we love sharing fresh, cold Jyuwari noodles, opening a bottle of sake, or slurping soba-yu together, we appreciate the importance of our collective health more.
