Support SMA's Fight Against Landlord Issues
Tax deductible
Hello, my name is Suewong McFadden. I’m the founder of Suewong McFadden Academy (SMA) — a nonprofit educational enrichment school built with love and purpose to serve students and families in Avondale, Arizona.
Right now, we are fighting for our survival.
Despite opening this school with nothing but heart, commitment, and community, we've faced ongoing landlord violations, intimidation, and retaliation that have made it unsafe and financially impossible to stay in our current building. After doing everything I could to resolve it legally, we’ve reached the point where we need to relocate to continue serving our students with dignity.
What We’re Raising Funds For:
- Final legal expenses to close out our case
- Relocation costs to move the school and save our materials
- Basic supplies and set-up for a safe new learning space
- Support for SMA students and families affected by this disruption
We’ve paid rent, followed the rules, and documented every violation — but justice takes time, and right now, we simply can’t continue without help. I’m humbly asking for support to help me move forward, finish the school year safely, and prepare to reopen stronger than ever.
Your donation means more than money — it means believing in our mission, in our students, and in the power of small schools making a big difference.
With love and gratitude,
