<div>Sitting well is much more than just good alignment; it's a posture with presence and confidence, beautiful handwriting, a self-awareness that is felt and manifested in the way a person writes, breathes, thinks, speaks, reads, sings, finds serenity, focuses, feels, calms down, expresses themselves, eats, and much more! It's a skill that also offers well-being. It's a skill that lasts a lifetime!

<div>I'm Filipa Marcelino e Carmo, the creator of Técnica Suave. Inspired by the Feldenkrais Method of self-awareness through movement, and with my training and professional experience of over 20 years in different pedagogical, artistic, and therapeutic areas, I create programs dedicated to enhancing the best in each person, their personal potential. By introducing postural education as a basis for improving pencil grip, we develop body awareness and stimulate various student abilities. Our focus is on awakening the best in themselves. With the Técnica Suave project, this knowledge is transmitted to all those interested, working with people of all ages.

<div>Técnica Suave (in Portuguese it means gentle technique) shares its stimulation, calming, and self-awareness programs with schools. With your support and the amount you wish to donate, you are helping more students and education professionals in various Portuguese schools receive and learn this knowledge for free.

<div>This project has been developing since 2024 and we have already helped more than 140 children. Teachers from various classes in schools also have the opportunity to learn how to avoid common mistakes and continue to support students with what they learned in the "Sitting Well. Writing Better..." sessions of Técnica Suave.

<div>Learning how to find proper alignment, which movements help achieve a more correct pencil grip, and what differences are discovered throughout the process are all part of the discoveries they will experience during the sessions. On average, 4 to 5 sessions with a class and their teachers present allow most participants to acquire this knowledge and consciously adopt this postural behavior, potentially turning it into their new preferred postural habit because it makes them feel good.

<div>Initial donations will allow us to reach schools in the Lisbon region and surrounding areas. With more support, we will be able to expand this learning process to more areas of the country, covering travel expenses.
