This is our friend, Victor's story….
His dear Wei Liu (Ada) a beautiful, healthy 37 year old mother, wife, daughter and friend, tragically passed away while giving birth to her twin daughters at the Richmond General Hospital, BC on Sunday morning, April 8, 2018. This date will be forever etched in our hearts, especially her husband, Victor Yu.
She has left behind a loving partner and husband, her five-year-old son and newborn twin girls who are still in the hospital. The entire family is suffering deeply of sorrow and loss from losing, ever so suddenly, a healthy mother, daughter and wife.
It takes a village to raise a child. This is forever true as we share this loving, tender and tragic story of our friend, son, and father of a sweet five year old boy and two newly born twin daughters who will be left to raise the children on his own.
Victor and Ada were married in China twelve years ago. They immigrated to Vancouver and made residency in Richmond. It is here that they celebrated the birth of their son. It is here that they were to raise and grow their family. Victor and Ada were thrilled to know that they were expecting twins! Naturally they were elated and over the months to come, Ada embraced her pregnancy with joy.
We are asking for your love and support as Victor and his family navigates their journey through their emotions of grief and loss. This is Victor’s new reality and as he faces the challenges of being a single father who will eventually have to return to work knowing that his three children will be safe, cared for and educated.
His five year old sweet, innocent, son has been suffering deeply and crying as he holds his mom’s picture in his hand. He is confused. He is scared. He doesn’t understand. How can a five year old who is so pure and innocent understand and accept never seeing his mother again? Victor will now have to play both roles.
Please make a difference today in the lives of Victor, his son and his precious twin daughters. A donation of any value would be forever appreciated. Victor has lost his wife, his best friend and mother of his children. Ada should be home today caring and nursing their newborn babies. Sadly….she is not.
